Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She has consulted with numerous organizations and government officials across the world on policies and research concerning children who are victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of a variety of professional organizations, including The Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is also a founder part of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions which included Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policies and Practice.
