Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music for a love rather than as a job. So she started writing her own songs. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favorite songwriters. After her mom told her that her songs can not only aid in her efforts to achieve fame however, they could also help others understand their value in the world and realize what can be done with them, she decided to begin playing in front of the public. Her mother suggested that she sing her songs in public so that people can see their importance and the ways they could impact the world. The family did not know about this until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora had no idea of becoming a star. The singer says that she simply likes to compose songs. Music to her is the most effective way to feel anything.
